Notice to Private Fee Paying Patients
Purpose
The Prince Philip Dental Hospital is a world class teaching hospital designed specifically to provide training facilities for dental undergraduates, postgraduates and ancillary dental trainees.
Acceptance of Private Patients
Private patients will only be accepted with written referral. The referring sources are normally dental or medical practitioners seeking for specialists' consultation and treatment on behalf of the patients.
Initial Deposit
Under the Hospital's regulations all private fee paying patients are required to deposit a sum of HK$1,000 on first registration.
Private Patient Fees
Oral conditions vary with the individuals. Please ask your consulting clinician about the costs of treatment (inclusive of charges for radiodiagnostic service or appliances). Please also note that you would be charged for any tests performed in other hospitals/laboratories by them directly or through us.
Registration
You are required to complete a Private Patient's Declaration Form. If you are reluctant to submit such a form, the Hospital will be unable to accept you for diagnostic or treatment purposes. You are also advised to read the "Statement of Collection of Personal Information from Patients" before registration. You need to present your Hong Kong Identity Card, Birth Certificate and/or Passport together with your deposit a sum of HK$ 1,000 at the time of registration.
Office Hours
Mondays to Fridays : 08:15 - 12:45 hrs and 13:45 - 17:15 hrs
Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and HKU holidays : Closed
Clinic Arrangement during Black Rainstorm Warning and Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above
(a) For treatment NOT yet started
If either of the warnings is hoisted or in force at or after 6:00 a.m. |
All patient appointments commencing before 1:45 p.m. will be cancelled . |
If either of the warnings is hoisted or in force at or after 11:00 a.m. |
All patient appointments commencing after 1:45 p.m . will be cancelled . |
* The Hospital will inform all patients individually for re-appointment.
(b) For treatment already started
When Hong Kong Observatory announced that Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 will be hoisted within 2 hours |
All patient treatment should be completed as soon as possible, the clinics should then be closed after clearance. |
When Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted |
Services will be provided to patients who have arrived and are at the clinics. |
